Our Engagements
Three engagements, three clear outputs — each at a fixed price
We have designed our services to address the three most common points where Malaysian organisations need advisory support before adopting AI.
← Back to HomeOur Methodology
How we approach each engagement
Every Suria Advisory engagement follows the same structural discipline: we begin with a written scope note, proceed through a bounded discovery and assessment phase, and conclude with a written deliverable. We do not treat engagements as open-ended. The scope is agreed before we begin, and we hold to it.
We do not recommend technology products during an engagement — unless the assessment process genuinely reaches a point where a platform choice is the logical next step, and even then we present options rather than prescriptions. Our methodology prioritises your organisation's actual situation over any preferred technology narrative.
Where we find that an organisation is not ready for a use case, we say so. Where we find that governance questions need to be addressed before implementation begins, we document that clearly. A frank advisory note issued before a costly misstep is worth considerably more than one issued after.
Every engagement includes
- Written scope note before work begins
- Structured discovery and assessment phase
- Written deliverable with clear findings
- One debrief session with the project lead
- No open-ended continuation built in
Engagement One
AI Readiness Conversation
RM 890 per engagement
A short advisory engagement for organisations considering their first real use of AI in operational work. We meet leadership across two to three sessions, listen to current concerns, examine data readiness and governance posture, and produce a written readiness note.
We name candidly which use cases are likely to repay attention and which are best deferred. This engagement is suited for organisations that are cautious about adopting AI without first understanding their own ground — a reasonable and often underserved position.
- Two to three leadership sessions included
- Written readiness note delivered on conclusion
- Data readiness and governance posture examined
- Candid use-case assessment — deferred where appropriate
How it unfolds
Introductory briefing — we review materials you share and prepare informed questions
Session one and two with leadership — structured listening across operations, data, and governance
Assessment and writing phase — typically one to two weeks
Written readiness note delivered, followed by debrief session
Best suited for
Organisations that have heard the AI conversation happening around them and want a careful, external assessment of where they stand — before making any commitments. Leadership teams approaching the question for the first time, or after an inconclusive internal discussion.
Best suited for
Organisations that have identified several candidate AI applications internally but lack a structured way to assess their relative merit. Leadership teams that have completed a readiness conversation and are now ready to examine specific opportunities more rigorously.
Engagement Two
Practical AI Use-Case Advisory
RM 2,720 per engagement
A longer engagement that takes three to five candidate AI use cases — drawn from the client's own operational work — and assesses each on technical feasibility, data availability, change management cost, regulatory exposure, and likely payback period.
The output is a written use-case portfolio with a recommended sequencing. We assume no particular model, vendor, or platform at any point — the recommendation follows the work, not a preferred technology direction.
- Three to five use cases assessed in full
- Technical feasibility, data and regulatory lens
- Payback period modelling included
- Written portfolio with sequenced recommendations
- Platform-neutral throughout
How it unfolds
Use-case nomination — client identifies three to five candidate applications
Discovery sessions — we examine data, systems, governance, and team capacity
Assessment phase — feasibility, regulatory, and payback analysis per use case
Portfolio report drafted and delivered, with recommended sequencing and rationale
Engagement Three
Governance and Policy Workshop
RM 1,290 per workshop
A two-day facilitated workshop for organisations that need an AI usage policy written by their own people rather than handed down from a vendor. Together we walk through acceptable use, data handling, vendor selection, employee disclosure, audit obligations, and review cadence.
The workshop closes with a draft policy document the client may circulate and ratify internally. It is suited for legal, compliance, HR, and technology leadership working in concert — the people who will ultimately be responsible for the policy they produce.
- Two-day in-person or hybrid facilitation
- Acceptable use, data handling, and disclosure covered
- Vendor selection and audit obligations addressed
- Draft policy produced in-session, owned by the client
- Preparatory reading shared one week in advance
How it unfolds
Pre-workshop: we share preparatory reading and confirm attendees
Day one: acceptable use, data handling, vendor and employee disclosure
Day two: audit obligations, review cadence, policy drafting session
Draft policy delivered for internal circulation and ratification
Best suited for
Organisations where legal, compliance, HR, and technology leadership need to reach a shared position on AI use. Particularly relevant where AI tools are already being used informally and governance has not yet caught up — or where a formal policy is required for regulatory, board, or audit purposes.
Choosing an Engagement
Which engagement fits your situation
These engagements are not necessarily sequential, though some organisations find they work through them in order. Choose based on where your organisation currently stands.

Professional Standards
Standards applied across all engagements
Client data confidentiality
All information shared during engagements is held in strict confidence and not disclosed to third parties without written consent.
PDPA 2010 compliance
We handle all personal data in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and retain it only as long as necessary.
Written scope before commencement
No work begins without a written scope note agreed by both parties — detailing what is included, what is not, and what the deliverable will contain.
No commercial platform interests
We carry no affiliations with AI platform vendors. Our advisory is structurally independent of technology sales incentives.
Direct practitioner contact
Clients communicate directly with the practitioner leading their engagement — no account management layer between the work and the client.
Defined endpoints
Each engagement has a defined conclusion. We do not extend engagements to sustain a billing relationship; we end them when the scope is complete.
